Belgian Culture and Lifestyle Festival

From 22 to 24 July, the 'Belgian Culture and Lifestyle Festival' was held inside Maha Beijing at the Hopson Club.

Co-organized by Interlace and Hopson Club, right after Belgian National Day which was celebrated on 21 July, the event showcased all aspects of Belgian culture and lifestyle by presenting a diverse range of Belgian brands. The event provided a fun weekend getaway in Beijing. It was a great way to experience Belgium in all its authenticity.

At the opening ceremony on July 22, the Belgian Ambassador to China, Dr. Jan Hoogmartens, pronounced a speech about the significance of introducing Chinese friends to the culture and the high quality products of Belgium. The festival was divided into three parts: a cultural market, a series of cultural events and thematic exhibitions. The three-day event, with more than a dozen exhibitors and nearly 50 well-known Belgian brands in the fields of food and drink, fashion, personal care and cultural publications, was the perfect opportunity for Chinese consumers to experience Belgium's centuries old artisanship and its rich variety in lifestyle.

Whether you already are a seasoned beer, chocolate or ice cream lover, or a traveler looking to learn more about Belgium, you could experience the new and foreign flavours of Western Europe

Various cultural activities were organized during the event, ranging from travelling stories and book readings to chocolate and beer tastings.
